Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative is proud to present Elevate in early June, an annual business summit that brings business training and resources to child care providers across Nebraska. In its third year, NECC has again made this event virtual to accommodate providers’ busy schedules as well as COVID-19 limitations.
Through one-hour sessions, providers will receive valuable information on various topics to help operate their child are business, including professional development, managing finances, technology tools and more. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion and an in-service hour for each session attended.
“Elevate transforms your traditional definition of ‘quality’ into one that includes sustainable, supportive business practices, as well as a stimulating, nurturing environment for children,” said Tommy Greco, NECC’s director of business development and strategy. “Child care providers wear many hats, and the one that’s often de-prioritized is the business owner and CEO hat. Elevate gives them the opportunity to dust that one off and really focus on giving their business the attention it deserves.”
Previous Elevate speakers came from organizations like All Our Kin, Firespring, and First Children’s Finance, providing a great mix of nationally and locally relevant perspective for child care providers in both center-based and family-based environments.
While this conference is relatively new, there has been significant positive feedback on the value it provides. A past Elevate attendee said, “The financial management session was absolutely amazing. Really created a new framework for the types of metrics we should be capturing. I could have been in that session for hours!”
