Nebraska Children  185% Federal Poverty Level

Every year, First Five Nebraska publishes a heat map showing the distribution by legislative district of children under 6 in Nebraska households at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Children in households of low income often face significant obstacles to their development during the critical early years of life. Mapping this data also shows which areas of the state are most likely to be socially and economically affected by changes in access to the Child Care Subsidy program, which is currently available to families whose annual income is 185% FPL (about $51,338 for a family of four) or less.
